IonQ (IONQ) said Monday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Global Research and Development Center for Business by Quantum-AI Technology, or G-QuAT, to collaborate on advancing quantum computing technologies in Japan.

The deal contemplates G-QuAT gaining access to IonQ's Forte-class quantum computers, IonQ said.

Financial details of the cooperation were not disclosed.

G-QuAT is a division of Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, and focuses on developing advanced hybrid-quantum computing technologies, IonQ said.
