Prudential (HKG:2378) has repurchased 260,000 of its ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of 7.6729 sterling pounds per share, as part of its shareholder-approved buyback program.
The transaction, conducted through Barclays Capital Securities Limited on April 16, saw shares purchased at prices ranging between 7.5740 and 7.7620 pounds, according to its Wednesday bourse filing.
Following the buyback, the company's total issued share count will reduce to 2.61 billion shares, with these shares subsequently cancelled.
