Waste Connections (WCN) reported Q1 adjusted net income late Wednesday of $1.13 per diluted share, up from $1.04 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.08.

Revenue in the three months ended March 31 rose to $2.23 billion from $2.07 billion a year earlier.

Analysts expected $2.22 billion.
