Downer EDI (ASX:DOW, NZE:DOW) finalized the sale of its 29.9% interest in its Australian laundries business, HT HoldCo, to an Asia Pacific private equity fund managed by Macquarie Group's (ASX:MQG) Macquarie Asset Management, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company is expected to receive pre-tax proceeds of around AU$64 million through the sale, which completes its exit from the laundries business, the filing said.
