Producers of metals and other raw materials fell amid fears that a historic rally in gold futures had peaked.
Gold fell 1.5% to $3,282.40 a troy ounce, finishing the week with a 0.8% loss, having traded above $3500 an ounce earlier in the week.
China aims to implement more growth-supporting measures amid rising challenges from hefty U.S. tariffs.
