SBI Life Insurance's (NSE:SBILIFE, BOM:540719) net profit rose to 8.13 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter from 8.11 billion rupees a year ago, according to an Indian bourse filing on Thursday.
Earnings per share for the quarter ended March 31 climbed to 8.11 rupees, from 8.09 rupees a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha expected EPS of 8.35 rupees.
The company's net premium income dropped year on year to 238.6 billion rupees from 251.2 billion rupees, the filing said.
