WuXi AppTec (HKG:2359, SHA:603259) recorded an 89% rise in attributable profit in the first quarter to 3.67 billion yuan from 1.94 billion yuan a year prior, a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Earnings per share stood at 1.28 yuan in the three months, up from 0.66 yuan in the year-ago period.
The drug research and development company's revenue rose 21% to 9.65 billion yuan from 7.98 billion yuan previously.
