Bega Cheese (ASX:BGA) said the Supreme Court of New South Wales dismissed the proceedings brought by Fonterra Group (NZE:FCG) companies Fonterra Brands and Bonland Cheese Trading against the dairy products firm and ordered Fonterra Group to pay its costs, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

Fonterra Companies asked the court to confirm that their proposed transaction would not affect the trademark license agreements between both parties, especially the change of control clauses, the filing said.

The company's shares rose 2% in recent Monday trade.
