Colgate-Palmolive's first-quarter revenue is estimated to have dwindled, hurt by the impact from tariffs and weaker demand for its higher-priced products, including oral care.

AbbVie is expected to give its first-quarter results. Investor focus will be on potential tariff commentary, the sales erosion of its rheumatoid arthritis drug Humira and the performance of Skyrizi and Rinvoq.

Health insurer Centene is expected to report first-quarter results before markets open. Investors are expected to look out for costs related to its government-backed plans and any changes to its full-year forecast.

Lazard is expected to report a drop in its first-quarter profit on a slowdown in dealmaking activities due to market volatility and tariff threats.

The University of Michigan's final consumer sentiment index for April is expected to remain unchanged from the initial reading of 50.8.

Aon is expected to report a rise in the first-quarter profit.

Statistics Canada is expected to report February retail sales figures, which are projected to decline by 0.4%, following a 0.6% decrease in January. Excluding auto sales, retail sales are also expected to drop by 0.4%, reversing a 0.2% increase seen the previous month.

In Latin America, Brazil's mid-month IPCA-15 inflation for April is projected to ease to 0.43%, down from a 0.64% increase in March. However, annual inflation is expected to rise to 5.49%, compared to 5.26% in early March. In Mexico, the IGAE economic activity index is forecast to contract by 0.8% year-over-year in February, following a 0.1% decline in January. On a month-on-month basis, however, the economy is expected to grow by 0.6%, rebounding from a 0.2% contraction in January.
