COSCO Shipping (HKG:1919, SHA:601919) posted first-quarter net profit attributable to shareholders of 480.5 million yuan, up 7.6% from 446.7 million yuan the previous year.
Earnings per share rose to 0.0360 yuan from 0.0330 yuan, according to a filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
The container shipping company's revenue rose 9.7% year over year to 5.42 billion yuan from 4.94 billion yuan.
Shares of COSCO Shipping were down 1% in recent trade on the Shanghai bourse.
