Fitch Ratings assigned first-time credit ratings to Great Eastern's (SGX:G07) five insurance operating subsidiaries in Singapore and Malaysia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

The ratings firm assigned all five subsidiaries an Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) rating of AA. The five subsidiaries were also given an issuer default rating of AA- with a stable outlook.
