Larsen is currently Williams’ senior vice president of gathering and processing.
In his new roles, he will oversee the company’s transmission, storage, and gathering and processing operations, according to Williams’ April 24 press release.
Larsen joined Williams in 1999, working in its Northwest Pipeline franchise.
He also served as vice president of central services; vice president-general manager for Williams’ Rocky Mountain Midstream franchise in 2018; and vice president of strategic development in 2020, the release stated.
Larsen has led the company’s supply chain and commodity services, NGL and gas marketing segment, commercial activities, pipeline control functions and corporate development efforts, among others.
“Larry’s deep understanding of Williams’ operations and natural gas focused strategy make him the ideal candidate for our next COO, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in leadership,” said Williams President and CEO Alan Armstrong. “He brings a depth of experience and knowledge that will allow us to continue optimizing our operations to enhance Williams’ competitive advantage and advance the execution of our long-term growth strategy.”
