China's Ministry of Commerce said the US tariffs greatly affected Chinese airlines and Boeing, Reuters reported Tuesday.
The statement came as Chinese clients have returned some of Boeing's jets due to the tariffs. The airline company is considering to resell dozens of aircraft, the report said.
The ministry said China is prepared to support normal business cooperation between the two nations, calling on the US to create a predictable environment for trade and investment, according to the report.
Some US imports were exempted from China's 125% tariffs to mitigate the impact of the trade war. French aircraft engine maker Safran said that some of aerospace equipment parts were among those exempted, the report said.
