0938 ET - Kohl's is up 5% in early trading after announcing it terminated the employment of its CEO Ashley Buchanan for cause. The company says Mr. Buchanan violated company policies by engaging in vendor transactions that involved undisclosed conflicts of interest. Kohl's says an investigation conducted by outside counsel and overseen by the audit committee determined these transactions violated company policy. Kohl's says Mr. Buchanan's termination is unrelated to the company's performance, financial reporting, results of operations and did not involve any other company personnel. (Suzanne.Kapner@wsj.com)
