Greenlight Re hires Vezina as head of underwriting analytics

May 1 - (The Insurer) - Cayman Island-based Greenlight Re has appointed Martin Vezina as head of underwriting analytics, effective immediately.

Vezina has more than 30 years of experience in the industry. Most recently, he served as CEO of Zero-Beta Advisors. Before that, he held underwriting positions at Allianz, New Ocean Capital Management, AQR Re and Markel.

His appointment at Greenlight Re is subject to applicable immigration approvals.

"Martin will play a pivotal role advancing the use of analytics to inform underwriting decisions and aid in shaping our strategic direction," said Tom Curnock, group chief underwriting officer, noting his experience in property catastrophe and insurance-linked securities.
