BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) produced 385,064 vehicles in April, up from 334,039 units a year prior, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The electric vehicle manufacturer's sales in the same month rose to 380,089 units from 313,245 vehicles in the year-ago period.

For the four months ended April 30, output and sales surged 52% and 47%, respectively, to 1,442,143 and 1,380,893.
