Patriot Battery Metals (ASX:PMT) responded to questions from the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) as part of the federal permitting process for its Shaakichiuwaanaan Lithium Project in Quebec, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The move follows IAAC's confirmation that the company's initial project description met regulatory requirements, the filing said.

The company's responses will be followed by IAAC's project-specific guidelines, which will support the submission of the environmental and social impact assessment later this year, the filing added.
