Alliant Energy Corporation has announced the operational launch of its largest solar facility in Iowa, the 200-megawatt (MW) Pleasant Creek Solar project. Originally known as Duane Arnold Solar during its development, the facility in Linn County has been renamed to honor the nearby Pleasant Creek Lake. Expected to produce enough electricity to power approximately 40,000 homes annually, this project is part of Alliant Energy's broader initiative to integrate renewable energy into its portfolio. With the addition of the Creston and Wever solar projects, Alliant Energy is now generating 400 MW of solar energy in Iowa, complementing its existing wind energy resources and enhancing energy reliability for its customers.
