0552 GMT - Standard Chartered's management flagged a positive start to 2Q and growth in deposit balances and client flows support this, Jefferies says in a note. The London-listed bank--which makes most of its business in Asia and Africa--posted 1Q results with notable strength in its wealth division. The group also provided disclosure on the nature of its network business and its seven geographic trade and investment routes, which is useful, analysts write. "We remain of the view that the current tariff uncertainty is ultimately a growth issue not a credit one," they add. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
