1020 ET - Seed and pesticide maker Corteva says it expects tariffs to cost it about $50 million, which it says is manageable and is working to mitigate it further. "We feel very strong pathways to mitigate a lot more of this, but we need a little bit more time to finalize the action," CEO Chuck Magro said on a call with analysts. Corteva and other pesticide manufacturers import different chemicals and various equipment that go into making pesticides from a variety of countries. Corteva posted first quarter earnings above analyst expectations. Shares of the company are up about 3%. (patrick.thomas@wsj.com)
