Sunstone Metals (ASX:STM) said assays from recent geological mapping and rock chip sampling at its Bramaderos project in Ecuador identified additional areas of epithermal gold-silver mineralization, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The assays included up to 14.4 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from surface rock chip samples, the filing said.
Its managing director, Patrick Duffy, said the results are consistent with its geological model, giving the firm confidence that it can grow the areas of higher-grade gold and deliver multiple drill targets.
