Costco Wholesale (COST) reported late Wednesday that net sales for the retail month of April, the four weeks ended May 4, increased 7% year over year to $21.18 billion.

Net sales for the first 35 fiscal weeks increased 8.2% year on year to $180.05 billion from $166.44 billion in same period of the previous year, the company said.
