Lotus Resources Secures Regulatory Approval to Resume Uranium Mining at Malawi Project

Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT) said its unit Lotus (Africa) has received approval from Malawi's Atomic Energy Regulatory Authority (AERA) for the resumption of mining and processing operations at the Kayelekera uranium project, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The company said it is on track to restart uranium production at the project for the third quarter of the year, the filing said.

AERA has indicated it will perform a verification inspection at the project once operations begin, the filing added.
