Wellard (ASX:WLD) said the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) issued a final class ruling confirming that no portion of its AU$0.02-per-share return of capital, completed on Dec. 10, 2024, will be treated as a dividend to certain shareholders covered by the class ruling, according to a May 2 filing with the Australian bourse.

The company urged shareholders to review the ruling and seek independent tax advice, the filing said.
