Cooks Coffee (NZE:CCC) has entered into a master franchise agreement for India with its Esquires brand, according to a Thursday New Zealand bourse filing.

The agreement has been signed with Sterling Coffee House, a special purpose vehicle that will manage the venture, the filing said.

Under the agreement, the franchisee will be responsible for the establishment and operation of the Esquire's business in India, with ongoing support from Cooks Coffee, including providing systems, processes, and best practices related to the Esquires brand.

Company shares fell 4% in recent trade.
