Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google has launched early access to Gemini 2.5 Pro Preview (I/O edition), an enhanced version of its artificial intelligence model with improved coding and web app development capabilities.

Originally set for release at Google I/O, the update was pushed early due to strong demand, Google said Tuesday in a blog post.

The update brings improvements to coding tasks, expanding beyond user interface development into code transformation, editing and complex agent workflows, Google said, adding that the model now leads the WebDev Arena Leaderboard and scores 84.8% on the VideoMME benchmark for video understanding.

Developers can access the updated model via Google AI Studio, Vertex AI, and the Gemini app, Google said.
