Uber Technologies partnered with autonomous driving tech company Beijing Momenta Technology to deploy Robotaxis outside the US and China, the international ridesharing platform said in a May 2 press release.
Under the partnership, Uber will merge its ridesharing network with Momenta's autonomous driving technology into the fleet of autonomous vehicles yet to be deployed.
Uber said the first deployment of the autonomous vehicles will be conducted in Europe at the start of 2026, but with onboard safety operators.
