0748 GMT - EDP Renovaveis's first-quarter results point to a significant improvement in the company's underlying performance, RBC Capital Markets analysts say in a research note. The Portuguese renewable energy company reported a 5% increase in first-quarter recurring Ebitda to 467 million euros despite including no gains from asset sales, RBC says. This was higher than consensus estimates, and Ebitda jumped 20% when excluding asset gains, RBC says. However, net debt at the end of the quarter was 8.92 billion euros and RBC had forecast it at 8.6 billion euros. Shares fall 0.7% to 8.03 euros. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
