Workday's (WDAY) contract with the US Office of Personnel Management, or OPM, for a new cloud-based human resources platform has been cancelled, Reuters reported Friday, citing a federal contracting website.

OPM awarded the contract earlier in May and Reuters said the contract was considered controversial given the absence of rivaling bids for the government project.

Workday and OPM did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
