Engenco (ASX:EGN) expects its net profit after tax for fiscal 2025 to be flat relative to the prior year amid challenges facing its rail business, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
"While it is anticipated that financial performance in the second half will still be positive, the Company is no longer expecting an improvement for FY25 when compared to FY24," Engenco said in its filing.
The company cast doubts on Gemco Rail's ability to meet production targets for the capital wagon program. It also sees lower than anticipated bearing sales in the June quarter, noting that part of the revenue expected for the said quarter will be deferred to fiscal 2026.
