China's new energy vehicle market saw retail sales hitting 922,000 units, up 37% year on year but down 7% from March, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association.
New energy vehicles accounted for 52.3% of all passenger car sales in April.
In the first four months of 2025, NEV sales reached 3.3 million units, up 37% from the previous year, while total passenger car sales hit 6.9 million, up 9% year over year.
