Joby Aviation (JOBY) said Monday that it flew two air taxis simultaneously for the first time in Marina, California, on Friday.

The air taxi manufacturer said that it has collaborated with Delta Air Lines (DAL) and Uber Technologies (UBER) to launch its service in the US, and that it plans to roll out the service soon after receiving the US Federal Aviation Administration's type certification.

Joby said it will also start passenger operations early next year in Dubai.

Joby's stock was up 5% in recent Monday premarket activity.
