PSE&G, a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. and New Jersey's largest gas and electric delivery utility, has announced an amendment to its recent filing with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. This update aims to provide additional short-term relief to mitigate the impact of significant electric supply cost increases due to high PJM capacity market prices. In response to requests from Gov. Phil Murphy, PSE&G is seeking approval for an expansion of the Winter Termination Program, which offers utility shut-off protection to low-income and vulnerable individuals, and the suspension of reconnection fees. PSE&G is recognized for its superior electric system reliability and customer satisfaction, and it continues to work with customers, nonprofits, and community organizations to promote energy assistance options and manage utility bills effectively.
