May 13 (Reuters) - American Eagle Outfitters AEO.N on Tuesday withdrew its annual forecasts due to macroeconomic uncertainty and reported preliminary first-quarter results that included a higher-than-planned adjusted operating loss.

The company's shares were down 4% in extended trade.
