Under Armour posted a loss as revenue declined from the prior-year period, reflecting in part lower demand from consumers that may be accentuated further in the wake of tariffs expected to raise prices for goods across the board.

The sportswear brand swung to a loss of $67.5 million, or 16 cents a share, for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, compared with net income of $6.57 million, or 2 cents a share, in the prior-year period.

Stripping out one-time items, the company posted an adjusted loss of 8 cents a share, meeting analyst expectations, according to FactSet.

Revenue declined to $1.18 billion from $1.33 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.17 billion.

Revenue in North America declined 11% to $689 million, while international revenue declined 13% to $489 million. Wholesale revenue dropped 10% to $768 million, while direct-to-consumer revenue fell 15% to $386 million.

"Our fourth quarter performance contributed to fiscal 2025 results that were better than the expectations we set a year ago and we are demonstrating traction in our efforts to reposition the brand," said Chief Executive Kevin Plank.

Under Armour forecast revenue to decrease between 4% and 5% in the first quarter of fiscal 2026 compared with the year-earlier period. It also estimated adjusted earnings per share between 1 cent and 3 cents, above the 0 cents a share expected by Wall Street.

The Baltimore, Md., company said it was solely providing an outlook for the current quarter given uncertainty surrounding trade policy and the macroeconomic environment.

Under Armour said restructuring charges in the fourth quarter totaled around $16 million. It anticipates that the remaining charges tied to a restructuring plan announced in May 2024 will be realized during the current fiscal year.
