Freehill Mining (ASX:FHS) contracted a local geologist to undertake further exploration at the El Dorado copper-gold project in Chile, including further sampling of prospective gold targets, which is set to begin next week, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It plans to prepare a bulk sample of magnetite from its Yerbas Buenas magnetite mine in Chile to help market the resource to potential customers and offtake partners.
Its second materials site in Chile remains on track to begin operations in June.
Its shares fell 20% on market close on Wednesday.
