0931 GMT - European stocks might have left peak earnings uncertainty in the rearview mirror after a first-quarter earnings season that was surprisingly normal despite worries about the economy and trade policy, equity strategists at Citi say in a research note. "With U.S.-China tensions deescalating and recession odds falling, we therefore may have already moved past peak earnings uncertainty," the strategists say. The European earnings season is in its final stretch, with 75% of Stoxx Europe 600 companies having reported so far, and the results were in line with historical averages despite subdued expectations, Citi says. The Stoxx Europe 600 index rises 0.65%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
