Skillsoft has appointed John Frederick, its chief transformation officer, as its next chief financial officer.
Rich Walker, the current CFO, is stepping down to pursue other opportunities and will serve in an advisory capacity until July 4. His departure is not related to the company's financial performance or any disagreement, Skillsoft said.
Frederick re-joined the education-software company in August and has been overseeing business planning. He previously served as Skillsoft's chief administrative officer from 2018 to 2021. He was also the CFO of Indigo Ag and Avid Technology, among other roles.
"He has been an important partner to the management team as we worked through the design and initial implementation phases of our transformation, and I am confident he will be a key player in helping us successfully execute our strategic plan," Chief Executive Ron Hovsepian said.
Walker joined Skillsoft in 2021 and has served as CFO since 2022.
