Samsonite International SA reported a decline in net sales for the three months ended March 31, 2025. The company's net sales amounted to $796.6 million, representing a 7.3% decrease compared to $859.6 million in the same period in 2024. On a constant currency basis, the decrease was 4.5%. The gross profit for the period was $473.1 million, down 8.9% from $519.5 million in the previous year, with the gross profit margin slightly decreasing from 60.4% to 59.4%. Operating profit saw a significant drop of 26.9%, falling from $149.8 million to $109.5 million. Profit for the period also declined sharply by 39.7%, from $91.5 million to $55.2 million. The profit attributable to equity holders decreased by 42.6%, from $83.9 million to $48.2 million. The Samsonite brand, a key component of the company's portfolio, experienced a reduction in net sales of $32.4 million or 7.4%, with all regions reporting lower sales. In Asia, sales decreased by $17.7 million or 11.4%. These results reflect the company's continued challenges in a competitive market environment.
