1001 ET - U.S. natural gas futures are moderately higher after yesterday's losses. A mixed weather outlook tempers demand with cooler temperatures in the Northeast and Midwest offsetting expected heat in Texas. Also keeping a lid on prices are large weekly storage builds which are expected to expand the surplus over the five-year average. "Futures are moving to a consolidation pattern after milder weather is countering a normal upside seasonal pattern in mid-May," Dennis Kissler of BOK Financial says in a note. Nymex natural gas is up 0.6% at $3.668/mmBtu. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
