Corning (GLW) said Tuesday it is collaborating with Broadcom (AVGO) on a co-packaged optics infrastructure that aims to significantly boost processing capacity within data centers.
Corning said it will provide optical components for Broadcom's Bailly co-packaged optics system, which aims to achieve improvements optical interconnection density and power savings, for usage in large-scale artificial intelligence clusters.
Corning shares were 1.3% higher in premarket trading, while Broadcom was up 0.6%.
