May 15 (Reuters) - Applied Materials AMAT.O forecast third-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimate on Thursday, betting on steady demand for its chipmaking equipment.
The company forecast third-quarter revenue of $7.2 billion, plus or minus $500 million, compared with analysts' average estimate of $7.19 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
