Citigroup (C) has reached a settlement in principle with former managing director Kathleen Martin who had sued the lender in 2024, alleging her employment contract was terminated when she refrained from hiding data governance practices from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, according to a Friday court filing.

Martin's suit was dismissed by US District Court Judge Jeannette Vargas in Manhattan after the parties informed her that they had reached a preliminary deal, according to the court ruling.

According to the court documents, the judge offered a 60-day window to re-open the case if the settlement isn't finalized.
