CytoDyn Inc. recently announced a change in its independent registered public accounting firm. As of May 14, 2025, Marcum LLP resigned as the company's certifying accountant following the acquisition of its attest business by CBIZ CPAs P.C. on November 1, 2024. Subsequently, with the approval of its Audit Committee, CytoDyn engaged CBIZ as its new independent auditor for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2025. The company confirmed there were no disagreements or reportable events with Marcum during the fiscal year ended May 31, 2024, or the interim period leading up to the change. Marcum's most recent audit report did note substantial doubt about CytoDyn's ability to continue as a going concern, though it otherwise contained no adverse opinions or modifications.
