Consumer stocks declined premarket Monday with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) down 0.2% and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) 1.6% lower recently.
International Game Technology (IGT) shares advanced by nearly 4% after the company said a Judging Commission will propose to the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency awarding the Italy Lotto License to LottoItalia, a consortium led by IGT that includes Allwyn, Arianna 2001, and Novomatic Italia.
Airbnb (ABNB) has been ordered by the Spanish government to block more than 65,000 listings for allegedly violating rules set for vacation or temporary housing rentals, the Ministry of Social Rights and Consumption said. Shares of Airbnb were down over 2% pre-bell.
Diageo (DEO) shares were over nearly 2% lower even after the company reported fiscal Q3 net sales of $4.38 billion, up from $4.25 billion a year earlier.
