VIP Industries (BOM:507880, NSE:VIPIND) reported that a fire broke out early on Saturday at its warehouse in Guwahati, Assam, India, temporarily disrupting operations, according to a same-day filing on the local bourses.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No casualties were reported. The company has insurance coverage for the warehouse and has notified the insurer.
Initial loss assessment stands between 50 million Indian rupees and 60 million rupees, with a full evaluation ongoing.
