CNNC Qinshan Isotope Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Isotope & Radiation Corporation, has successfully launched its first batch of Carbon-14 isotope products. This milestone marks the completion of a fully independent industry chain from research and development to market-oriented supply within the country. The products are manufactured using the first domestic industrial production line for 100-curie-grade Barium carbonate, [14C], independently designed and constructed by CNNC Qinshan Isotope. This production line boasts an annual capacity of 200 curies and utilizes efficient dry extraction technology, ensuring high production efficiency and low radioactive waste. The initial batch has achieved a specific activity of ≥290 mCi/g and a radionuclide purity of ≥99.9%, reaching an internationally advanced standard. Further processing, production, and sales will be carried out based on market demand.
