Genasys Inc., a global leader in Protective Communications, has announced an update on its $75 million contract with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) for the implementation of an Emergency Warning System $(EWS)$ aimed at protecting residents and visitors downstream of Puerto Rico's 37 dams. The project, which commenced its implementation phase following the signing of a definitive agreement in August 2024, has been divided into seven groups of dams, each with an Emergency Operating Center. Initial construction began in April, and detailed plans and permits have been approved for several sites. Genasys has received deposits for the first three groups, with shipments of hardware and instrumentation expected to commence this month. Revenue recognition will occur on a cost basis initially, with additional revenues accruing as installation progresses. The majority of revenues from these first three groups are anticipated to be recognized in the September quarter.
