Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) said that a reverse circulation drilling program targeting infill and extensional resource drilling at the Yunndaga deposit, a part of the firm's Menzies gold project in Western Australia, returned high-grade intercepts, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
"Significant" intercepts encountered during the program included 16 meters at 8 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 220 meters, as well as 13 meters at 4.7 g/t grade of gold from 167 meters.
The results confirm the presence of high-grade mineralization in lodes typical of the project, the filing said. The company plans to conduct a second phase of drilling in June, targeting resource extensions at depth and further infill of likely near-term underground mining areas.
