Jacobs Solutions Inc. has been recognized for its innovative work on the STH 15 corridor project in northeast Wisconsin, which has been named a state finalist in the Wisconsin American Council of Engineering Companies Engineering Excellence Awards. The 11-mile corridor, extending from US 45 to Lily of the Valley Drive, serves as a crucial link between the Appleton metropolitan area and surrounding communities. Jacobs revamped this vital route to meet increasing traffic demands, address safety issues, and facilitate future growth. Key improvements include enhanced safety features, reduced congestion, improved travel times, and the addition of truck stopping lanes to accommodate heavy freight traffic. The project not only upgraded the corridor's functionality but also improved the quality of life for local residents and visitors by providing better access to community resources and supporting sustainable transportation through a new multi-use trail.
